Merged 2 photos-it's actuallly the same person, but I flipped one picture horizontally to make her hair part differently.

Assignment--kids being kids

These photos were taken with a Nikon D5000, which I just got. Having problems indoors with the flash making a dark shadow.

Assignment #3--adding hands, feet

They were not posed--note the almost identical hand positions! I cropped a little too closely on the picture taking.

Took quite a few before I could get him to hold still for one moment.

Photo Assignment #2 - group shots

Diffused lighting, overcast afternoon.

Circle with depth!

Assignment 1--portraits

Solo portraits taken in the afternoon in my backyard in Cincinnati, September 22, 2010. The sky was partially sunny in the beginning and gave way to wind and clouds when we finished. Nothing has been cropped or edited.  Camera is a point and shoot Sony Cybershot. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new DSLR, Nikon D5000.

Not a poser. We had to work a while to get him to laugh out loud!

Mopped off the ole head prior to shooting so we wouldn't have reflection on his skin!

He kept putting a basketball in front of his face until I put him in the tub. He loved it there!

One shot was all it took for her.

Had trouble keeping the shadows out of her eyes (above). Not really sure why, as it wasn't too sunny.

The pictures above and below are our 7 year old identical twins.

He didn't want to pose for a portrait until I said he could climb the tree.

Self portrait--played with the angles a lot to get this. Now I can see it looks like I have a horn coming out of one side of my head!
